A bituminous seal coat is provided on GP cement mortar linings for sizes up to DN 300 and is optional for sizes larger than DN 300. Cement-mortar lining for ductile iron pipe and fittings for water service is in accordance with ANSI/AWWA C104/A21.4. The standard internal protection for these cast iron cement lined pipe consists of a cement mortar lining. Applied by a centrifugal process, this lining provides:

– excellent hydraulic flow conditions,
– preservation of carried water’s quality,
– effective protection of pipe wall against aggressive waters.
