Metal Udyog (India) is a pioneer supplier and stockist of Ductile Iron Pipes.  By treating the molten low-sulphur base iron with magnesium under closely regulated conditions, ductile iron is made. The surprising shift in the metal is marked by the spheroidal or nodular deposition of free graphite in ductile iron, leading to optimum continuity of the metal matrix, creating a stronger and tougher ductile substance with high ductility and heavy effects. When it’s built, it takes relatively little maintenance and is planned to last at least 100 years.

In addition to high longevity and efficiency, Ductile Iron (DI) Pipes have strong mechanical properties that make them suitable for high-pressure requirements. In networks carrying potable water, waste water, drainage water and pressure waste, Ductile Iron Pipes are used extensively. The spheroidal form of its graphite owes its extraordinary mechanical properties to Ductile Iron: fracture toughness, high elastic limit, structural rigidity, strong elongation. By regulating the chemical analysis and hot pressing of the metal matrix, these properties are further improved.

The Ductile Iron Pipes provided by Metal Udyog (India) cover a range of measurements from DN 80 to DN 2200, with a normal length of 5.5 metres to 6 metres. The product complies with the ISO: 9001 and ISO: 14001 certified Indian Standard IS: 8329 and International Standards ISO: 2531 and BSEN 545 and BSEN 598, allowing the organisation to appeal to national and export markets.

Ductile Iron Pipe is itself a 100% recyclable material, having as much as 98 percent recycled content.
